The 文化中心 creates programming and provides support for LGBT+ students on campus to feel safe exploring their identity and establishing a sense of community. The 文化中心 hosts regular events for students to socialize and meet other LGBT+ students as well maintaining a common space known as the 骄傲的休息室 for students to study and relax in an affirming environment. 全国出柜日 is an LGBT+ awareness day in early Fall that supports those who are “coming out of the closet.” The 文化中心 hosts festivities and gathers other departmental groups across campus to share what LGBT support DU provides.
骄傲的舞会
骄傲的舞会 is one of the largest LGBT social events at DU. Many of our LGBT oriented events emulate social experiences that LGBT people may have missed out on in their youth because of gender and sexuality-based discrimination. 骄傲的舞会 is celebrated in the Spring.

酷儿学生联盟(QSA)
The 酷儿学生联盟(QSA) is a student-run undergraduate Registered Student Organization (RSO) and is a member of the USG Diversity Committee’s Joint Council (link to 亲和力组 tab on our website). QSA hosts events throughout the year to establish community and empower LGBT+ student voices.

- To change your name to a “chosen/professional” name, fill out the 更改名称申请表格 and submit a physical copy to the registrar’s office.
You can change your name to a “preferred” name on DU information systems by navigating to “My Person Profile” under “Student Information” in the “Student” tab on my.juxiangart.com

Our casual social space located on the 大厦三楼 社区共享 the Lounge is open during building hours (~8am -10pm) Monday through Friday and serves students of all genders and sexualites on the DU campus.
Students can take advantage of study space, 大屏幕电视/显示器, 视频和棋盘游戏, 工艺供应, and comfy sofas and bean bags to hang out and meet other LGBTQ+ students and allies
